A share method that saves what's shared into (on Android 4.4 or later) a location you choose with the system storage picker (e.g., the Downloads app, or Google Drive), or (prior to Android 4.4) a file in the Downloads directory. Intended for use with my Safe Voice Recorder app, so that those who want to record to a file have a way to do so, and those who don't can have a recorder app without permission to write to external files.
No ads, no in-app purchases, no money involved at all.
As of version 1.1, Save To File can save pages shared from a browser. In order to do this, it needs the Internet access permission. It does not communicate with any Internet host except in order to do this page retrieval.
In this app, I do not collect your information. The data you share to it will be saved to where you choose to store it, not to any location under my control. Of course, if you use it to save files from a Web site, your communication with that Web site will be subject to its privacy policy.
